You may have seen the recent Visa Olympics commercial featuring Dick Fosbury. He is famous for what is now known as the Fosbury Flop. It’s a method of performing a high jump by curving and jumping backwards over the bar. With his new method, he won the Gold medal in Mexico, 1968.

One of those was Tom Thorson, an incredibly capable Communications Executive, who surrounded himself with really talented creative types. He ran some of the most motivating and entertaining meetings (which were especially important when you are trying to Jazz up over 1000 people during a merger kick-off).

Every parent wants to be proud of the accomplishments of their children. And proud I was of mine, so proud that I used the first piece on this new site to reflect on how I felt when our thirteen year old returned from her mission trip and informed us over our dinner about her new endeavor. She had seen a movie about the children of Uganda – “Invisible children”, and was so touched, she was compelled to do something for them.
